This colorway is available for order in any of our yarn bases.
Color: Onyx is a deep, dark, mysterious black. Not an easy color to dye, surprisingly, and once I came upon a recipe that worked -- now it's a piece of cake!
Dye Technique: Our yarns are all hand-dyed with acid dyes, using techniques which permanently bond the color to the yarn. The colors are all steam set for fade resistance.
Care: Hand wash or machine wash gentle cycle in cool water, using a gentle wool soap such as Soak or Eucalan. Block and air dry flat.

Beautiful color!
I love this black! I have used it on a couple of different projects and it is so lovely. There are no light spots and it is lovely to knit with!

Using MCS as weaving fibers
I am making a shadow weave scarf/shawl using MCS Smoke Screen and Onyx. It looks beautiful on the loom and I expect it to look beautiful and feel great when I get it off the loom. This is a commission and I expect my customer to be very happy
