Fall Fiber Frolic Retreat 2026

Sign ups for our 2026 Fall Fiber Frolic are coming March 28th!!     Join us November 11-15 for fun with Fiber Friends and Sun Valley Fibers Stunning Yarn and fiber tools!

Welcome to Sun Valley Fibers' Lucky Number 13 Annual Fall Fiber Frolic Retreat --  each year George and I are overwhelmed at the response to our retreat and are so glad you want to come back each year.   Thanks so much for making this happen!!!

Each year we wrestle with the dates.  Avoiding Badger home games is a big thing so room rates stay lower   Now we also have to avoid when Halloween falls.  So this year the dates are a little later.   Hope the dates work for you!

The dates for the 2026 retreat are arrival (and we set up) Wednesday, November 11.  We began early check in Wednesday evening and that went so smoothly that we are going to do it again this year as well.  So check in begins at 7 pm Wednesday.

Thursday morning, November 12, registration continues.  No classes or instructor this year.   Taking a break from that.   Join us for Shenanigans and Fiber Friends new and known through Saturday evening, November 14th.   Those staying at the hotel usually grab breakfast and say goodbye Sunday morning, November 15th.

The retreat will be limited to 120 attendees 

We are very excited to be planning our 2026 Fall Fiber Folic Retreat!   When you do sign up, please only purchase ONE retreat spot.  Additional spots will be refunded.   I do this because I need to be able to send retreat information to attendees and therefore will need current and correct email addresses.   I receive that information at sign up.   Please double check your email address when you do sign up to make sure it's correct.   I thank you very much for helping me stay organized while coordinating and organizing this event.   I very very much appreciate your understanding.

The Room Rate is 114 a night for a King or a Double Queen room.    I will email attendees within 24 hours of their retreat attendance purchase with the room link.

PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT THE HOTEL TO RESERVE YOUR HOTEL ROOM!    I will send the room link within 24 hours of your retreat sign up.

Registration for the retreat is $235.     This does not include your hotel room or meals.

You may only purchase one registration.   Each guest must purchase their own registration for the retreat.  I know, I'm repeating this.   You might not be surprised to find out that folks do purchase more than one anyway.......

Registration for the retreat includes:

• A most fabulous Swag bag worth over $150 with some items only available for retreat attendees and not for sale in the shop!
• Shopping Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
• A Fashion Show Friday evening.   Always such fun and so inspiring!  Thank you Tracy!!!

• Shenanigans....
• Access to our room block and our discounted room rates.
• There will be refreshments available -- coffee, water and tea -- in the afternoons.   There will be some special treats available Friday and Saturday afternoons.   There is a cash bar in the hotel lobby if you so desire!
• Best of all -- a chance to hang out with old friends and make new friends, some downtime and some "you" time before the crazy holiday season!
• There will be some fun extra things going on -- stay tuned!!

The retreat is limited in size to 120 attendees.    

Meals will be on your own, and I will provide information about all of the wonderful restaurants in the area.   Our location is right smack dab in the middle of Greenway Station and you will have many restaurants to choose from for lunch and dinner.   The Hilton Garden Inn has a spectacular breakfast buffet/omelet station and there are so many great restaurants in walking distance or a short drive away.   

If you haven't already joined our Sun Valley Fibers Fall Fiber Frolic Retreat group on Ravelry, I suggest you do so, because that is the place information will be shared and updated regularly -- and the place for you to get a roommate (if you need one) and meet fellow attendees before the event.

Refund Policy and Cancelation Information:     

I will try to answer a few potential questions here.  

If an Attendee cancels attendance to the event before August 30th, 2026, SVF will refund 50% of the retreat fee, minus the processing fee of $5, so . ($105 will be refunded.)  After August 30th, an attendee canceling attendance will not receive a  refund of any amount.    Please understand that your retreat spot is nontransferable .  The spot will be offered to the next person on the waitlist.    I appreciate your understanding of this policy.

If Sun Valley Fibers needs to cancel the retreat because of matters beyond our control (Covid-19 for example)  a refund will be issued in the amount of $200.   There is a non-refundable deposit of $30 associated with the retreat to cover any unforeseen expenses associated with a potential cancelation.   If circumstances make it possible to issue more of a refund, we absolutely will do that and make things right.
