Description:
This adorable hen fits in the palm of your hand so you can take it anywhere! These little chickens are worked mostly i the round, with a small amount of short row shaping. Primarily stockinette stitch, the chicken is easily customized with stripes, colorwork or texture if that's how you roll! Some charts will be provided, as well as blank charts for designing your own. Learn to work and customize a picot bind off for comb and tail. Other techniques include cable cast on, optional provisional cast on, and duplicate stitch.

Materials:
Assorted colors, small amounts of worsted weight yarn.
Total yardage needed is approximately 58 yards
Body: 8 grams, 23 yards
Head: 3 grams, 9 yards
Tail: 6 grams, 17 yards
Comb and wattle: 4 yards
Beak: 1 yard
Jeanette will have stuffing and eyes for purchase at the retreat -- and if you need Red for the comb and wattle and Yellow for the Beak, there will be little kits available.
Wool Stuffing, approximately .5 ounce
Eyes (safety) or french knots.
Needles and Notions:
Size US 6 (4 mm) circular needles, at least 32" long or size needed to achieve gauge. Set of DPNs in the same size if you prefer. DPN or third needle for working 3 needle bind off.
