Description:
Have you seen headbands, hats or potholders knit with the same design on both sides, but the colors are reversed? It seems like a mysterious trick, but you can learn to create a double layer of fabric with two right sides by making a potholder or hot pad. Experiment with several ways to carry the yarns and keep them from tangling. Charts for this style of knitting make it easier to see, students will learn the tricks to reading them.
Class Materials:
50 Grams each of two contrasting colors of DK or worsted weight yarn, one dark, one light
Needles appropriate to the chosen yarn (US 6-8)
Crochet Hook
Tapestry Needle
