As in past years, I had a great time at the January Thaw. This is a really relaxed, enjoyable chance to get together with old friends and make new ones, shop for beautiful yarns, and add to my knitting skills. Unfortunately I was unable to take the class I’d scheduled, but that just meant I had more knitting time.
Great Yarn, Great Teachers, Great Venue= Great fun!
Simply the best winter retreat. Better than vklnyc!!! Love the knit time...the friendships formed... and of course George Jeanette and Rachael are the best. Great fiber doesn’t hurt. Great location and venue. Great good near by. Just all around great time.
Had a great time! The hotel was great, pace was great. Enjoyed Kate Atherlys class & talk. Still worried about Susan. Your daughter was lovely, and very helpful with my yarn selections.
Had a great time. Jeanette and George were wonderful hosts and the class with Kate was fantastic! I will be attending again.
This is such a laid back, awesome retreat. Jeanette and George create a welcoming and fun atmosphere in which we knit. Young and more senior knitters mix happily at this retreat. Anyone who lives in Wisconsin knows it s the best place in the world to be in January , and Madison is generally way warmer than Minnesota or the Northwoods. Being surrounded by skeins of beautifully dyed yarns is so comforting. So many projects that you get a lot of ideas and yarn to add to the queue. Great swag bag.! I can hardly wait until sign up for 2021 January Thaw!
This yarn is scrumptious!
Met so many wonderful knitters. The market was fabulous. Looking forward to next year and hope I’ve knit up the purchases I made.
